The Heckler & Koch UMP 45, referred to as the UMP, is a weapon featured in Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
Mechanics[]
The UMP is a blowback operated, magazine fed submachine gun. The UMP is chambered for larger cartridges to provide more stopping power against unarmored targets. However, this causes more recoil, and to prevent this, the UMP has a 650 rounds/min firing rate. 600 rounds/min for the UMP 45 (the 45 designates the .45 ACP cartridges).
Call of Juarez: The Cartel[]
The UMP appears early in the game and is used by Mendoza Cartel members and LAPD officers. The UMP holds 30 rounds, and is a very versatile weapon. It is unlocked by achieving level 11 in the Secret Agenda. It is also the default machine gun for the Cop team in Multiplayer.
