The Makarov PM, referred to as the Makarov, is a weapon featured in Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
Makarov PM

The Makarov PM resulted from a competition to replace the Tokarev TT-33 and the Nagant 1895. In 1951, the Makarov PM (PM stands for Pistol of Makarov) was selected for its simplicty, affordability, ease of maufacturing, and stopping power. The Makarov was chambered for the 9x18mm Makarov cartridge. The Makarov is currently, a popular handgun in the United States for concealed carry. The Makarov uses a blowback action (meaning that when the handgun is fired, the recoil ejects the shell). The Makarov has a free-floating firing pin, however, this leaves the possibility of the weapon firing if it is dropped. However, when handled properly, the Makarov has excellent security against accidental discharges.

Call of Juarez: The CartelEdit

The Makarov is one of two handguns (the other being the 92FS that is unlocked by default. However, it is not used by enemies until the mission "Candystore". The Makarov has one of the highest rates of fire in the game (tied with the Mosquito and Five Seven).
