Five Seven

The FN Five-seveN pistol, referred to as the Five Seven, is a weapon featured in Call of Juarez: The Cartel.

FN Five-seveN

Mechanics[]

Named because of the round it uses (the 5.7x28mm) The Five-seveN semi-automatic utilizes a delayed blowback action. A unique feature is that it has a concealed hammer. Polymer materials are mainly used in the pistol's design making it lighter, more resistant to corrosion, and to prevent light reflection. The pistol also has the same grip angle as the Browning High Power and Colt M1911. Current variants of the Five-seveN are single action (in this case, the operator must pull the hammer back to fire the first round, and then all remaining rounds are ejected from the blowback action).

Call of Juarez: The Cartel[]

The Five Seven is not used until late in the game. It is one of the Mendoza Cartel's preferred handguns. The Five Seven holds 24 rounds (the most in any pistol in the game). It is unlocked by completing the mission "Cemetery".

Trivia[]

  • It should be noted that the Five-seveN pistol is chambered for the same round as the FN P90 submachine gun. It is strange that the P90 isn't in the game as the P90 has been documented as a major weapon of Mexican drug cartels.
