Call of Juarez Wiki

Finale is the epilogue in Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. In this part, Silas is given an option to exact revenge on his last lifetime nemesis, Roscoe "Bob" Bryant.

Plot summary[]

After the incredible recount of his battle with ghosts, all listeners including Dwight started to think that Silas was simply a liar. Jack even started an eviction, saying Silas had worn out his welcome. However, Silas was already sure that Ben the humble bartender was no other than Roscoe "Bob" Bryant. He laid his cards on the table, putting the Old Spanish Coin he mentioned before everyone. Bob was thoroughly devastated, and begged for mercy. The player is then presented with two choices: "Revenge" and "Redemption", that is, to kill or to forgive Bob.

Notes[]

  • If "Revenge" is chosen, there will be one extra duel with Roscoe "Bob" Bryant. Regardless of the difficulty selected, there will be no HUD display of Focus and Speed, just like in True West.
  • Bob, now being an old man of more than 70 years old, is not particularly fast or accurate. But there are still chances that Silas may lose and die. If that happens, there will be additional lines from either Bob himself (revert all his pardon and dismiss Silas as an old, lying drifter) or Steve (comment on Silas being "not nearly as tough as in self-told stories").
  • There is no way to replay this chapter from "recollection". A short way to experience both endings is to "continue" after the endgame credit, but this requires the player to replay the entire last chapter.
  • In either scenario, Silas returned Bob's own line back to the latter ("I won't have it said I left you with nothing"), while offering the latter either a gun (Revenge) or the Spanish coin (Redemption).

Trivia[]

  • In both scenarios in this chapter, Dwight's full name is revealed as Dwight Eisenhower. A modern-day player should know this very man would later become the 34th President of United States.
